(the poop) Forgive me if I fail to believe that police wouldn't take action against a Catholic priest (or any other religious leader) who openly espoused killing people - especially those of another faith - and had a known history of supporting terrorist organizations and terrorist activity.
she goes to link her 'espoused killing people' to the story on the uk site, but not a word about 'espoused' or 'killing people' .. zip, nothing. this is the poop that seems to gain its credibility from where is impossible to guess, other than to venture saying whoever is responsible for spreading this shit around town needs some serious charmin.
An unnamed administration official says the evidence against Iraq is "akin to an impressionist painting," based on hundreds or thousands of tiny clues.
think that would work in a court of law for possessing a joint?
when the midget pounded his fist announcing to the rest of the world - you know he wuznt talkin to americans - that you're either with us, or against us. what other possible adjective could you give that, except arrogant. bellicose wallowing is so yesterday. so last century actually. is one of the problems with the poopy-cocktail-crowd is that they're stuck in this timewarp or something? sure we want our country to be the leader it used to be. duh. but that doesnt mean we have to repeat slavery values to do it.
the point being. where the hell are the aliens at god dammit.

Scott Ritter, the former UN weapons inspector and an outspoken critic of war in Iraq, yesterday claimed he was the victim of a smear campaign after it emerged that he had been arrested in an internet sex sting in June 2001.
Details of the arrest emerged in a local New York state newspaper last week. Reports said Mr Ritter, 44, had been charged with attempted child endangerment after arranging, in an online chatroom, to meet what he thought was a 16-year-old girlat a Burger King restaurant. The girl turned out to be an undercover policewoman. The case was later dismissed.
Mr Ritter cancelled a trip to Baghdad on Tuesday and has instead been appearing on talk shows to defend his reputation. In an interview with CNN on Wednesday he refused to discuss details of the arrest and attempted to shift the fo cus on to who leaked the story. "The case was dismissed. The file was sealed ... Why did this come up now?" he said.
the problem is, those in power, with the money, have control over something else. information. information, unlike money, has a funny way of disguising the truth. 'oh i read it on the net, so it must be true'. one of the more infamous lines of our time. yet, when anybody tries to prove themselves, what do they turn to? the internet. it is the internet, in all its color, that gives not the truth, but the tools to discern the truth. for the truth comes from within. influenced by home, family, politics, money & information. but there can only be one truth in the same way there is only one 'money' - be it a franc, a dollar, or a pound of gold.
now, lets take this a step further. being rich usually conjures up visions of sugarplums and dollar signs. rolls royces and mansions by the bay. being powerful usually conjures up visions of senior politician types, or men with gold badges or lots of stripes. being powerful and rich on the otherhand, is missing that vision. maybe because one generally spars with the other for dominance. can one be rich without being powerful? and vice versa? some would argue that one can be rich without having a lot of money. of course, that's true. rich doesn't necessarily mean having a lot of money. but when we're talking politics and poopyheads, rich means having a lot of money.
notice all this iraqi crap talk again. hell, its been like this cat & mouse game for weeks now. since a month before elections anyway. what puzzles me, why didn't any of this get brought up in june? or july? what prompted this administration to make a 'case against iraq' a month before elections?
also, they talk about iraqi cooperation. the us says saddam's not. blix says he needs to do more. saddam, of course, proves it with the facts. he has allowed un inspectors inside iraq. he has allowed un inspectors inside his palaces. he has allowed scientists to be interviewed. he has allowed this. he has allowed that. what the hell does it mean to cooperate?
those empty tin cannisters that make short-range conventional missles. 'could be' used for WMD. well, DUH. almost ANYTHING 'could be' used for WMD if enough of it was fashioned right. the point being, where are the WMD the bu$hies like to scream and holler like a spoiled rotten child. my take is that if the US had proof, they would have given it to the inspectors, so that they could uncover them. that has not happened. we gave them weeks and weeks to uncover the WMD the bu$hiesl say he has. oh wait, is that language now thatl he 'will have'? i mean, shit. how many other 'will haves' are there going to be if we invade?
ok, imus, the grande poopyhead is on. i like listening to this jackass. him and bernard, i swear, make it clear how poopyheads can actually live with themselves. stay tuned. FRIDAY'S SUPRISE is coming.

but then, you'd have to also consider that protecting those wells, and using the proceeds of those wells (btw, who's doing the buying?) to rebuild iraq, is the only option that should be available. what i have a problem understanding though, is if the money used from the oil in iraq 'could' be used to rebuild iraq, why isn't it being used rebuild iraq now? are they not pumping @ 100% capacity? are the companies that had contracts before all this destruction, still get their contracts honored? by whom?
these are the questions that are evading the american reporters. in fact, i'll bet you all the reporters are playing ignorant and scared that they may lose their 'privileges', because i certainly haven't heard any answers. ideas have been out there for a while. december was when they were supposed to have this 'captured treasure summit', but nary a word from the media about it. why? why is this as much a secret as the energy policy meeting? or bush 41's presidential records? why???
The US secretary of state, Colin Powell, told the Boston Globe yesterday: "If there is a conflict with Iraq, the leader ship of the coalition [will] take control of Iraq. The oil of Iraq belongs to the Iraqi people. Whatever form of custodianship there is ... it will be held for and used for the people of Iraq. It will not be exploited for the United States' own purpose."
Asked whether US companies would operate the oilfields, Mr Powell said: "I don't have an answer to that question. If we are the occupying power, it will be held for the benefit of the Iraqi people and it will be operated for the benefit of the Iraqi people."
GUARDIAN 1/23/03
this meeting took place back in december btw.
At the meeting, on the future of a post-Saddam Iraq - details of which have been disclosed to the Guardian - the state department stressed that protection of the oilfields was "issue number one".
issue number one huh. i could see it being number 2, or even 3. but number one??
On Jan. 9, Maumi Daffay, a refugee from Sierra Leone and the cook at Soul African Cafe on Sixth Avenue in Des Moines, went home to a burglarized north-side apartment. Missing were a TV, household goods, clothes belonging to her and her three children, and irreplaceable African jewelry. Two days earlier, I had run a column on the cafe, and on Jan. 10, Jim Almquist, whose wife read it, went to eat there. He's with the Urbandale Kiwanis Club. Hearing of the burglary, he alerted the Urbandale High School Key Club, which went out and bought Daffay and her family all sorts of things to replace their losses. They'll deliver them later this week. Almquist says they wanted to go beyond the material and show the family moral support.
The 10th paragraph of USAT's lead briefly mentions: "Median net worth for whites rose 17 percent to $120,900 but fell 4.5 percent to $17,000 for minorities."
like TP (today's papers) noted. this deserves, if true, a lot more than a mere mention. no wonder nobody's paying attention. WAKE THE FUCK UP PEOPLE... TIME IS RUNNING OUT.

STRATIAwire by Jon Rappoport
Two weeks before 9/11, all 60 gates at the facility were blocked with concrete barriers and barbed wire. Guard patrols were stepped up.
At least a few soldiers there believe that 9/11 was a military OP carried out by the US government. They also believe that the imminent war on Iraq has the clandestine purpose of enlarging the borders of Israel.
where's the conspirators when ya need 'em.
"A senior Republican senator yesterday expressed concern that a Pentagon surveillance program could be used on U.S. citizens and may "have a chilling effect on civil liberties." In a letter to Attorney General John D. Ashcroft, Sen. Charles E. Grassley (R-Iowa) alleged that the Justice Department and FBI are more extensively exploring the use of the Total Information Awareness program than they have previously acknowledged.
Washington Post
i'm on grassley's mailing list, and i've generally had a high regard for him. proves my point ... just because you are republican, doesn't make you a poopyhead.
Among the potentially nixed proposals is a plan to bar accountants from auditing the same tax shelters they created.
As everybody mentions, the White House released a report detailing "the lies that Iraq has used to promote its propaganda and disinformation." The Washington Post points out that most of the allegations date from 1990 and 1991.
that damn liberal press. always getting in the way with the truth.
"This looks like a rerun of a bad movie and I'm not interested in watching it." - George W. Bush, Jr., President of the United States, January 21, 2003

"One of the [new FEMA] handbook's main suggestions...is for people to create disaster supply kits for the home, workplace and vehicle."
that came to me while meatpacking. dont know why. but it did.

Let me get this straight: If you are fired, this is downsizing, budget restraint or some other excuse, unless you are black, and then it is racism.
This constant drumroll of racism really hurts those who are true victims of racism.

The administration's violations include withdrawing from the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty; undermining the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty; proposing to use smaller nuclear weapons for offensive battlefield purposes; halting progress on the START II and III treaties (nuclear-inventory reduction); developing Star Wars ("Missile Defense" in Orwellian double speak) to facilitate its declared intention to dominate the entire globe from space.
Consider also the "unsigning" from the International Criminal Court and a disregard for multilateral approaches and international law.

there's no reason to think Republicans will negotiate. "I've never been real thrilled about giving special rights to special people," Senate Majority Leader Stewart Iverson of Dows told the Register. Iverson was among 23 Republicans who successfully took Vilsack to court in 2000 to overturn his gay civil-rights executive order regarding non-discrimination in state-government employment.
The reference to'special people" reeks of intolerance. It underscores the fact that gays and lesbians do face discrimination based on who they are. Long-standing social contempt for certain groups can take a long time to fade.
the iowa legislature needs to get off this poopyhead drunk they're on and allow equal rights, not special rights, for ALL people
